The Run to Remember is a race that honors the memory of those lost in the 1995 OKC bombing. Since its start in 2001, its message has reached hearts all around the globe. In honor of the OKC Memorial Marathon on April 29th, we would like to share some stories & highlights of the race with you.
Being an Oklahoma based company, it’s an honor and privilege to have partnered with this race since the beginning to provide medals & awards that recognize those that participate in such a meaningful and memorable event. We are proud to support it and see it continue to grow and have such a profound impact on the community and the nation.
From Oklahoma To The World
When the race started in 2001, it had just shy of 5,000 participants. Now it unites over 24,000 runners and walkers from all over the world.
Reaching Every Generation
From the youngest in the family to the oldest, this race has something for everyone. The race offers everything from a kid’s run, to a 5K, to the option to run a full marathon.
Touching Every Heart
Each person who participates in the race comes away with their own unique experience. Here a few words that the marathon shared from just some of their runners.
What Makes This Race Different From Others?
It’s moving to see the heart and soul behind the race shown in the stories on #WhyWeRun, as well as the support raised to carry on the memories of loved ones. It’s amazing to see the entire community, from first responders to celebrities, come together to support such a worthy cause.

Celebrating & Honoring #RunToRemember
It takes a lot of time, commitment & dedication to carry on such an impactful race. We at MTM play a small part in the big picture. Over the years, we’ve been involved in supporting the race and the memorial museum in any way we can. As providers of the medals and memorabilia, we’re thankful to give back to such a great cause.
Take a look at this video that tells the story of the medals for Run To Remember and shares a little about why this race means so much to us as a company.
Many of our employees have participated in the race, including our VP of Sales & Marketing, Mike Ketcherside, who has run the race for 17 straight years.
“Having ran the Memorial Marathon so many times, I’ve seen first hand how emotional it is and how we can be a part of giving back.”
This race means a lot to us as it does for so many others. We’re honored to celebrate this year’s race along with all the others to come. Good luck to all of the runners. We’ll see you on race day!
I’m just wondering when the trophies for the winners will be mailed.
