MTM Earns Achievement Excellence Award from Oklahoma Quality Award Foundation

MTM Recognition received the Oklahoma Quality Award for Achievement of Excellence at the recent Oklahoma Quality Award Foundation’s 6th Annual Sharing of Best Practices Conference & Awards Luncheon at the Marriot Tulsa Hotel.

Oklahoma’s Quality Award program is regarded as one of the most rigorous Baldrige programs in the country. The only way an Oklahoma company can apply for a highly coveted National Baldrige Award for quality excellence is to win Oklahoma’s highest recognition award.

Companies that receive these awards display exceptional results achieved by mission-driven and vision-led strategy through role model leadership and management approaches.

This award was received as a result of a performance excellence examination’s site visit at MTM on August 21, 2017, where the Baldrige examiners working with the OQAF were blown away by MTM’s people and processes.

“The examiners not only loved MTM’s people, but loved MTM’s culture as well,” said Shane Smith, MTM’s Change Agent. “The examiners were stunned. They said that ‘There’s learning everywhere here!’”

The Oklahoma Quality Award Foundation, Inc. (OQAF) promotes the principles of performance excellence and sharing of best practices. They are the only organization in Oklahoma authorized to assess and award others using the Baldrige Framework for Performance Excellence, which contributes to organizational improvement, performance excellence and competitiveness of US companies.

“It’s a journey,” said Smith. “As I keep telling people, it’s a process of constant self-assessment. Our goal is to earn the top award in Oklahoma and keep on going.”

“I couldn’t be prouder of the MTM team,” said Roger Mashore, CEO of MTM Recognition. “It takes both hard work and a continuing commitment to excellence to provide us the best opportunity for success.”
