I hit the ground running with my first Annual Sales Meeting (ASM) experience at MTM Recognition. When I started at MTM in March I heard stories about past ASMs and I envisioned a huge, remarkable event. I was right. I helped in the planning process,
attended weekly meetings and calls, so I already felt included. In case you are
wondering, the Annual Sales Meeting is a time of training, renewal, new product and
program launches, and sharing of best practices with all of our Recognition Consultants
throughout the United States and Canada.

In my first week at MTM, I worked with several people on a very successful employee
engagement event at Target Field in Minneapolis. It was so nice to meet the people
at the ASM that I had been emailing and talking with on the phone. In our after
meeting dinners I got to see the personalities of the consultants. They were so fun and
engaging. I understand why they are so good at what they do.

The theme of the meeting was RISE TOGETHER and on the Friday of the event,
all of our 550 employees in four facilities wore white RISE TOGETHER t-shirts
commemorating the event. I witnessed the incredible bond that MTM employees have
as one big family and how engaged they are in our company and what we do on a
daily basis. We provide recognition solutions to companies all over the country; what
a concept! When someone receives an award, it is such a memorable moment for that
person. It is something they will always remember and we get to be a part of that! Our
recognition consultants are a special group of people. They love what they do, and it
shows. They also care about each other. The veterans welcomed the new consultants
with open arms.

The guest speakers were my favorite. Listening to three of our clients talk about how
MTM has helped and improved their company appealed to me as a new employee
because I got to hear from an outside source about all the good things we do. Each
speaker took pride in working with their consultant and spoke about the collaboration
that turns into a friendship over time. Their speeches really were inspirational.

Overall it was a busy and informative three days. Lots of planning made the meeting
a success and we have had a lot of great feedback from it. Congratulations to all of
our stars who received their President’s Club rings and awards as well as the many
other award winners! Can’t wait to see my new friends again at next year’s meeting!
